Official Contest Rules of the Miller Lite x Olymel “SEIZE THE GREAT TASTE” Contest
1. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to enter, you must: (i) be a resident of Québec; (ii) be of legal age to consume alcohol in your province of residence. You are not eligible to enter the contest or to win any prize at all if you are: (i) an employee of Molson Canada 2005 or Olymel S.E.C. (the “promoters”), or of one of their affiliated corporations or advertising or promotional agencies, an employee of the contest supervisory body, of any participating store or of one of the prize suppliers; (ii) an employee or subcontractor of a provincial liquor control board, a beer distributor, a participating establishment holding a liquor licence or an organization holding a liquor licence authorized by a liquor control board; or (iii) a member of the immediate family (mother, father, brother, sister, child or spouse, no matter what their place of residence), or a person (related or not) living under the same roof, as one of the aforementioned persons.
2. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. HOW TO ENTER: The contest shall begin on May 1, 2025. All ballots shall be submitted and received no later than August 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). To enter the contest, fill in the ballot at saisislebongout.com (“contest website”) and spin the wheel. All data entry fields on the ballot must be filled in, unless the information is indicated to be optional. Limit: one (1) ballot per day, per person, per email address and/or phone number. The released parties (defined below) shall not be held liable for ballots that are incomplete or erroneous, all of which shall be considered null and void, nor for any computer bug, technical failure, or other issues related to systems or networks. It shall be understood, to eliminate any doubt, that you can only use one email address and/or phone number to enter the contest. If the promoters (at their exclusive and absolute discretion, based on the evidence available) discover that a person has attempted (i) to obtain more than the maximum number of ballots indicated in these official contest rules or (ii) to use (or to try to use) several names or identities or more than one (1) email address or phone number within the same day to participate in the contest, this person may be disqualified from the contest (at the promoters’ exclusive and absolute discretion) and all their ballots shall be cancelled. Your ballot shall be rejected (at the promoters’ exclusive and absolute discretion) if it is not properly filled in (if it doesn’t include all the required information), submitted, and received before the deadline for registration. The use of (or an attempt to use) several names, identities, email addresses, or automated or robotic systems, or programs, macros, scripts, or other means, to register for or participate in the contest, or to disrupt it in any other fashion, is prohibited and may lead to disqualification by the promoters. All ballots may be subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The promoters reserve the right, at their exclusive and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity or eligibility (in a format deemed acceptable by the promoters, including, without limitation, a government-issued photo ID) to enter the contest. Failure to present proof deemed satisfactory by the promoters in a timely manner may lead to disqualification.
3. PRIZES: There are three hundred and thirty (330) prizes to be won from May 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025, distributed as follows: (i) thirty (30) Miller Lite BBQs with accessories; (ii) one hundred (100) smoking planks; (iii) fifty (50) aprons; (iv) ten (10) pairs of barbecue gloves; (v) twenty (20) sets of stainless steel skewers; (vi) ten (10) Thermomax; (vii) ten (10) rotisserie grill baskets; (viii) one hundred (100) Olymel free product coupons. The approximate values of the prizes range from twelve dollars (CAD 12) to four hundred dollars (CAD 400). The winners will be determined instantly when the contest wheel is activated. The individuals declared as winners shall receive instructions by email and/or text message, depending on the communication option selected when completing the entry form, on how to claim their prize. All prizes must be claimed within three (3) days of receiving these instructions.
If the winner has not claimed the prize within the time indicated, the said prize shall be withdrawn and automatically put back into play. The promoters cannot be held responsible and shall have no obligation toward this participant.
Ballots are valid for all the prizes to be won, and no distribution shall be made with respect to the interests and/or desires of the winners. They may not exchange, replace, or substitute the prize won for another. They may not choose among the various contest prizes. Prizes shall be distributed exclusively by the wheel system. A winner who is not satisfied with their prize may refuse the prize.
Prizes are neither transferable nor assignable, and shall be accepted as such, with no cash or other substitution, except at the promoters’ entire discretion. The promoters reserve the right, at their exclusive discretion, to replace a prize or a component of a prize with a prize of equivalent value if the prize or a component of the prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. The released parties (defined below) shall not be liable; however, if factors beyond the promoters’ reasonable control prevent a prize from being awarded, in whole or in part, or prevent the enjoyment thereof. In such a case, no winner shall be entitled to a replacement prize or cash equivalent. No prize shall be awarded before the winners’ names and ages are confirmed. Any return of the prize or notice that a prize cannot be delivered may lead to the disqualification of the winner and the selection of another eligible winner, under the procedures described in these official contest rules. Limit: One (1) prize per person.
4. PRIZE CLAIM: The winners shall be determined instantly when the contest wheel is activated. Only participants who have won a prize shall receive, by email and/or text message, depending on the communication selected during their registration, a notice confirming their prize along with a one-time-use code and the necessary instructions to claim their prize. To proceed with the claim, winners must send an email to the following address:
luckywheel@gameolymel.com, including said code. If the prize is not claimed within three (3) days of being awarded, the claim code shall automatically expire, and the prize shall be considered forfeited by the participant. A validation process shall be conducted to confirm the identity of the winner associated with the claim code. Only the person who won the prize may claim it.
To be declared the winner of any prize, the selected participant may have to answer correctly, with no mechanical or other assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question asked on the ballot, by telephone, or by email. If a selected participant: (i) cannot be reached within a period of three (3) days following the first attempt at notification; (ii) does not answer the mathematical skill-testing question or answers it incorrectly; or (iii) does not sign or does not return to the promoters the declaration and waiver of liability in the period indicated on these forms (as the case may be); and/or (iv) cannot accept the prize for any reason whatsoever; the selected participant shall lose the prize.
The odds of winning are established at the outset based on the total number of prizes available and the duration of the contest. They follow a predefined distribution curve designed to ensure a balanced allocation of prizes until the end of the contest (the “contest closing date”). This curve allows for an adjustment of winning odds, if necessary, to ensure that all prizes are awarded, while still respecting the initial probabilities set at the beginning of the contest.
It is the sole responsibility of participants to check their junk (spam) folders. The contest organizers shall not be held responsible if a participant misses an important communication due to failure to check their inbox’s SPAM folder. It is therefore up to each participant to ensure that contest-related communications are not filtered into their SPAM folder.
Under no circumstances shall the promoters be held liable to compensate, replace, or reissue a prize to a participant who missed a communication and/or failed to respond by the deadline. A finalist shall not be considered a winner until all requirements established by the promoters have been met. Should the promoters choose to offer compensation, it shall be at their sole discretion. Any compensation prize, if granted, shall be determined entirely by the promoters and does not have to be identical, or of equal value, to the originally offered prize.
5. WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND OTHER DISCLAIMERS: Before being declared the winner of a prize, the selected participant shall sign a declaration and waiver of liability that (among other things): (i) confirms that these official contest rules have been followed; (ii) confirms acceptance of the prize as awarded; (iii) releases the promoters, their respective advertising and promotional agencies, any contest supervisory body, the provincial liquor control boards, beer distribution firms, group members of the latter, as well as all of their respective administrators, directors, owners, associates, employees, proxies, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “released parties”) from any liability with respect to this contest, to the winner’s participation in the prize, to the awarding of the prize, to the use or misuse of the prize or any part thereof; and (iv) consents to the publication, reproduction, and use of their name, address, voice, statements about the contest and photographs or other representations of their person for advertising purposes led by or on behalf of the promoters in any media format whatsoever, including, without limitation, print media and the Internet, without prior notice, permission or other compensation. The released parties have not provided and shall not be held liable for: (i) any representation or warranty, express or tacit, in fact or in law, with respect to the prizes, such as (without limitation) any legal security, warranty of quality, market value, adaptation to any particular usage, or proper operation; (ii) shall not be held liable for any harm, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever stemming from acceptance of a prize, its use or misuse, any travel related to the prize or stemming from participation in this contest in any manner whatsoever. The declaration and waiver documents shall be returned according to the deadlines indicated therein, or the prize in question shall be lost.
6. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: In the event of a technical failure, programming error, or any other issue resulting in the distribution of more prizes than originally planned, the promoters reserve the right to cancel any excess prize allocations. In such cases, they may, at their sole discretion, decide whether to compensate the affected participants. The promoters shall bear no liability in this regard.
Without limiting the scope of the limitations of liability stated in these official contest rules or in the declaration of compliance and waiver of liability, it is agreed that the releasors shall not be held liable for the following: (i) any incomplete or inexact information, whether caused by the users of the contest website or by any programming or equipment associated with or used as part of the contest, or by any technical or human error that may occur during the input or processing of ballots; (ii) the theft, loss, destruction or unauthorized access to or modification of ballots or the contest website; (iii) technical difficulties or problems occurring on networks or telephone lines, online computer systems, servers or suppliers, hardware and software, viruses or bugs; (iv) any failure of an email to be received or sent by the promoters or any ballot to be input or recorded for any reason, including, without limitation, traffic congestion on the Internet or on any website, or a combination of these elements; (v) damage to the system of the participant or any other person caused by participation in the contest or uploading or downloading contest information; (vi) any typographical or other error in the offer or administration of this contest, including without limitation errors in advertising, these official contest rules, the selection or announcement of eligible winners, or the distribution of any prize; and (vii) any combination of these elements.
7. PERSONAL INFORMATION: By participating in this contest, participants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information for the administration of the contest, in compliance with the promoter’s confidentiality policy. By accepting a prize, winners consent to the gathering, use and disclosure to the public of their name, address (city, province), oral statements, photos and representations for advertising purposes related to the contest in any medium or format whatsoever, including without limitation the Internet, without prior notice, permission, or remuneration. The personal information shall not be otherwise used or disclosed without prior consent.
8. RIGHT TO SUSPEND, MODIFY OR END THE CONTEST: The promoters reserve the right to end, modify or suspend the contest, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice, if any factor hinders the conduct of the contest under these official contest rules.
9. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS: All decisions by the promoters or any contest supervisory body shall be final and without appeal with respect to all aspects of this contest, and all participants shall agree to comply with these official rules. The released parties shall not be liable for ballots that are incomplete, erroneous, or affected by technical problems, errors or delays, which ballots shall be considered null and void. The use of automatic systems is prohibited. All ballots shall become the property of the promoters; no acknowledgement of receipt shall be sent and no returns shall be made. No communication shall be established, except with the selected participants (or any other participant when deemed necessary by the promoters). The contest shall be subject to all applicable federal and provincial legislation and all municipal regulations. In case of dispute as to the person having submitted a ballot, it shall be considered to have been submitted by the authorized holder of the email address indicated at the time of registration. “Authorized holder” is understood to mean the physical person assigned an email address by a supplier of Internet access, a supplier of online services or any other body authorized to assign email addresses for the domain associated with the email address submitted. Participants may have to provide proof to the promoters (in a format deemed acceptable by the promoters, including, without limitation, a government-issued photo ID) that they are the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the registration in question.
The promoters reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to exclude from this contest and from any other future contest or promotion held by the promoters any person guilty or suspected of trafficking the processing of ballots or the administration of the contest or the contest site, of violating the official rules, or of acting unfairly or with the intention to harm, importune, torment, threaten or harass another person. ANY ATTEMPT ON THE PART OF A PARTICIPANT OR OF ANY OTHER PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR TO HINDER THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST CONSTITUTES A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LEGISLATION. IF SUCH AN ATTEMPT OCCURS, THE PROMOTERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CLAIM DAMAGES FROM SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
Subject only to applicable legislation and to any required regulatory approval, the promoters reserve the right, at their exclusive and absolute discretion and without prior notice, to modify any date or deadline stated in these official contest rules, to the extent necessary, for purposes of verification of the compliance of any participant or ballot with these rules or because of technical or other problems or in light of any other circumstance that, in the opinion of the promoters and at their exclusive discretion, hinders proper administration of the contest in compliance with these official contest rules, or for any other reason.
In the case of any divergence or contradiction between the provisions in the French version of these official contest rules and the information documents or other statements contained in any document related to the contest, the provisions in the French version of the rules shall prevail, govern, and take precedence in the full measure allowed by applicable legislation.
10. LIQUOR AUTHORITIES: The provincial liquor control boards are not associated with this contest in any way and shall not be held liable for anything related to this contest.
